Hari-eHARI-E
Hari-e is not a complicated process, but can end up with beautiful results, like the one above by Traci Stevenson.
Supplies needed:
These are the steps in the process:
Step 1: Lightly draw the shapes of the picture you want to make onto the Kozo paper. Step 2: Dampen the outside of the pencil lines. Step 3: Tear the paper along the wet edges. Step 4: Paint all of the pieces and then let them dry. Step 5: Glue the pieces onto whatever backing you're using with the Nori paste and let them dry.
I decided to use this Yoshitomo Nara painting as the basis for my art.
