Stories Without Words

I designed this music video with very limited knowledge of photo editing, but a very solid image of what i wanted to see in my head.

I decided i would use this project as a sort of extension of manga.

Manga has the distinct ability to tell a story using only sound effects and drawings. Anime, being the "child" of manga, is also capable of this, and the "anime music video" is a fine example. The idea is much like a normal professionally produced music video. It can be as simple as synching clips up to match on screen happenings with lyrics to make a series of appropriate images, or something more complex, telling an overarching story throughout the entire video. This project i undertook one day is the 2nd type.

This is actually the 2nd attempt at this same video, and i'm much more please with its outcome than the initial attempt. I tried to keep a constant theme going, focusing on the two particular characters and showing their ever evolving relationship.

enough jibba jabba, lets watch!

as proud as I am of my humble little project, there are some that really know what they're doing and can come up with some really amazing technical things that make for a fantastic video:

and just because it's another example of technicality and i happen to really like it, here's one more:

thanks to the youtubes and all those people who like to put awesome stuff on them!
