JAPANESE FOOD !!!
Japanese cuisine has developed over the centuries as a result of many political and social changes. Traditional Japanese food uses ingredients available during the season. Breakfast might consist of miso soup, gohan (rice), nori (dried seaweed), pickles, and green tea.
Lunch is usually simple and consist of noodle (udon or soba)
Dinner might consist of rice, a main dish of fish or meat, a side dish of vegetable.
Japanese usually use CHOSPSTICKS to eat !
Before eating the meal, the japanese say "ITADAKIMASU" which is a polite phrase meaning " I receive this food." This expresses thanks to the person who prepare the food.
Also, most dining places provide either a hot towel or a plastic-wrapped napkin for cleaning the hands.
Never pass the food from one pair of chopsticks to another, as it recalls passing bones duriing funeral.
Eat your rice to the last grain !
At the end, they say "GOCHISO-SAMA" which is a polite expression to give thanks for the delicious meal.
Japanese cuisine is baed on combining staples food (shushoku), typically rice or noodles, with a soup, and okazu-dishes made from fish, meat, vegetable, tofu anddesign to add flavor to the staples food. They are typically flavor with dashi, miso, and soy sauce and are usually low in fat ad high in salt.

A) Based on noodles
Ramen are Chinese style noodle prepared in a soup with various topping. One one the many popular dishes that were originally introduced from China and become completely japanize overtime.
B) dishes based on Meat.
Surprisingly, meat has been eaten in Japan in larger amounts only since the second half of the 19th century. Nowaday, there are a variety of meat dishes sus as:
C) Seafood dishes
100 different fish and other seafood found in ocean, rivers, lake are used in Japanses cuisine. They can be prepared and eaten in many diferrent way. For ex: raw, dried boiled, grilled, deep fried or steamed.
D) Based on rice
RICE bowl- served with most japanese meal. For breakfast, it is sometimes mixed with egg and soy sauce and with other topping.
FRIED RICE- originally introduced from China. A variety of traditional ingredient such as peas, egg, negi (jap leek), small piece of carrot and pork mixed into rice when stired fried.
SUSHI !! - 2 types- Nigiri-zushi and Norimaki. Nigiri-zushi have slices of row or cooked fish on sushi rice. Norimaki has piece of fish and/or vegetable rolled in rice with nori (dry seaweed)
Served with wasabi and gari (ginger)
Sushi can be defined as a dish which contain sushi rice, cooked rice that is prepared with sushi vinegar.

Conclusion:
Japanese food has been spread al around the word. Many countries have imported portion of Japanese uisine. Some may adhere to the traditional preparations of the cuisines, but in some cultures the dishes have been adapted to fit the palate of the local populace.
Where I live in Paris, Japanese culture is expending. Many typical japanese stores, convenience store with food imported straight from Japan. There is a whole are full of japanese store, bookstore, mall, restaurant. Impressive.
However, even if eat sushi in Paris is not necessary special, price remains quiet high, restaurant makes lot of profit.
